This is extremely accurate.

I love how every person needs a wheeler bag…you can’t carry anything? It’s some clothes and shoes, pick it up it won’t kill you.
But why would I?
I know I can carry a bag full of clothes and shoes. My bag has wheels. Why would I not roll it?
Do you feel the same about people who might use an auger instead of a post hole digger.
Nobody is wheeling they're bag because they're afraid of the weight. They're wheeling the bag because it's more convenient than carrying it.

The airlines need to start enforcing the personal item under your seat and only carry on luggage above your seat. Several recent flights were delayed and our carry ons had to be checked because people aren’t doing this.

If checking/retrieving a bag wasn't an absolute dumpster fire, I wouldn't drag it all myself.
I don't want to spend the extra 30+ minutes up front and an unknown (baggage handlers at Airport X on strike today?) amount of time after I arrive before I can be on my way? frick all that.
Usually, the only time I check a bag is if I'm traveling internationally. And absolutely not on a connecting US flight.
If air carriers GAF about their customers, they would make the bag drop/retrieval process cheap/free and crazy easy. It would make negotiating the airport easier, planingdeplaning faster and easier and make the whole experience less of a nightmare. But instead, the REALLY want that extra $25 from you.

I think that only people who fly so infrequently don't realize how much of a headache this is, particularly if it's an airport with which you're unfamiliar.
It isn't conscious, but no matter how much you want to claim to not be "soft", having to navigate a new airport, wait for your luggage, orient yourself after fighting a horde of people, make your way to a now crowded pickup location, takes a toll on you. Yes, even the person reading this who has more to worry about. Your brain has to process all that information and it saps your energy whether you are aware of it or not.

That shite is annoying when people bring luggage on the plane
This started becoming a thing when airlines started charging fees to check bags. The result was predictable. People are tired of getting nickel and dimed at every possible turn.

And some airports have terrible bag claims...
MSY takes forever, slow and ridiculous AF.

It looks like you're bringing too much on the plane if you had to stuff that under your seat and have no leg room left room for the flight.

Just dumb that everyone thinks this is a ‘seasoned traveler’ thing. Maybe it was before everyone did it.
Seasoned travelers take less stuff, not more.

I always wore long pants and a polo for travel. Recently I got a few pairs of nice joggers that have become my go to travel pant. I can’t fathom wearing pajamas on an airplane but see it more and more these days. People are fricking slobs.

I'd love to check my rollerbag but I ain't paying $40 for that shite when I can just lug it with me and stick it overhead.

I carry on a paper Dorignac’s bag from 1983.

Well when the airlines goat frick you on checked bag fees then yes cram as much as possible into the carryons. Hate the game not the playa.

We are a nation of fat slobs.
I made the same observation on our trip to SC. I only fly once or twice a year but have noticed the amount of people being pushed around in wheelchairs by airport staff because they are fat has greatly increased.

Got on a plane in Sao Paulo Brazil to Atlanta. A Brazilian guy brought a cat in a pet carrier on board. Plane was still ascending from takeoff when he let the cat out of the bat (well...crate). It was like watching a Benny Hill skit with him running around trying to catch the cat.

Charge for carry-ons, make 2 check-in bags free......speeds up loading and unloading the plane.

Carry on roller and a backpack is my standard travel set up.
