My ex was into "the arts" and had season tickets to the New Orleans Ballet. She usually went with her girlfriends and sister, but once a season I'd go with her (even though she'd never come to a goddamn football game with me).
It's not my thing, but you can't sit through a performance without recognizing the athleticism involved. The girls aren't all super skinny. Some had spectacular thighs. Some performances were interesting, other were odd, if not downright ridiculous.
It's about 80% women in the audience and they're not all old bats, a bunch of effeminate fellows, and about a couple of dozen guys trying to keep their girl happy. There are worse ways to spend an evening. If a cultured chick ever invites you to the ballet, you should check it out. Even if you hate it, you can make jokes about it later.
