Everytime I see someone driving like a pissed off idiot on the road, it’s always a 3/4 ton truck or modified/lifted 1/2 ton truck.

My wife was very upset and I had to pull off at the next intersection and take a break from the ride.

You sound like a very weak person.

at 82 mph and coming up on an 18 wheeler to my right, in the rain. You know what the spray and visibility are like in those conditions. It's kind of tense.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but the spray is less if you slow the frick down.

Buy good tires and get the heck out of the way!

I will tailgate you in pouring rain if you are in the left lane with hazards on…no matter how fast you are going.

I-20 is fricking wild. I had an a-hole in a Chevy pickup almost cause an accident couple years ago. I’m in the right lane with my cruise set at 75 and a car going about 77-78 passes me in the left passing lane. They are a couple car lengths ahead of me and I see in my side mirror this blue Chevy Silverado coming up behind him fast. I immediately think, “This fricking a-hole is going to cut between us instead of waiting a couple seconds for the car ahead of him to get some distance between us.

Well this frickface did exactly what I was afraid of. Tries to thread the needle between the car ahead in the left lane and me in the right lane. He cuts into my lane as he’s passing me, and I immediately hit my brakes to miss him and missed his rear right bumper by inches as he merged into my lane. If I wouldn’t have been paying attention, he literally would have PITted himself into the fricking trees on the right side of interstate. I almost wish it would have happened. fricking a-hole.

People like that deserve to get into serious accidents and injuries.

If you don't already have one, get a very good dash cam for both the front and rear. If that guy would have hit y'all, proving he was totally at fault may have been a problem. A lot of times those types of drivers causes a wreck without them hitting anyone.

I hate I-20. There is too much traffic on it and needs to be made into three lanes on each side from DFW all the way to Longview. It generally thins out about there when headed to Shreveport and that's generally where traffic starts building up when headed to DFW. Throw in rain and that's just a very dangerous highway.

I have driven that stretch between DFW and Longview numerous times. It sucks even during good weather. I've driven it in the rain, too.

The guy probably didn't see you. You should have had your flashers on.

Not only are you NOT supposed to drive with your flashers in rain or any other weather, it's ILLEGAL in Louisiana and many other states.

Hazard lights (flashers) should only be used if your vehicle is disabled in the roadway or on the shoulder. There is no need to use your flashers while driving in the rain.

Flashing hazard lights can make it difficult for other drivers to see turn signals or brake lights, or cause them to think you are stopped or stalled in the roadway. Furthermore, because folks regularly using them while driving in rain, this can cause a car that is actually stalled with lights flashing to get hit by a driver who doesn’t anticipate proper breaking distance because they think the car is moving.

Rain or dry, night or day, right lane or left lane- I always leave a gap- for my own sake and for consideration of anyone behind me. You’re right, there’s no traffic issue worth dying for.

Quit driving 82 in the pouring rain

If you drive over 100, the rain can't catch up, and your windows stay dry, plus you get the added benefit of better gas mileage.

Amazing it was only raining in the left lane. I would’ve moved to the right.
