I'm pointing out that you're a fricking moron for equating the responsibility of a young lady that just went out and drank too much and ended up raped and dead to a guy that has multiple drunk driving offensives
So we are in agreement that both are irresponsible and we can assume that both have done it multiple times. One is dead from their actions and the other killed someone because of theirs.

No because the young lady in question does not have a history of habitually getting gang raped but the drunk driver had a record of drunk driving
The drunk driver had to be well aware of the fact that he had multiple offenses when he chose to go out get drunk again and have no way of getting home other than driving himself home

It sucks. She wasn’t a bad looking skank. I would happily take her drunk arse home from the bar and plow her

Responding to someone that thinks this should be capital murder.
Posted on 2/26/25 at 8:03 am to saintsfan1977
In Louisiana, a death that occurs during the commission of a crimecan be charged as felony murder.
Also, in Louisiana, a third or subsequent DWI is... a felony.
This turd didn't intend to kill, but he caused the death during the commission of a felony, a felony he intended to commit.
quote:
Explanation
The felony murder rule allows a defendant to be charged with murder even if they didn't intend to kill.
This rule applies to crimes that are considered "inherently dangerous".
To establish felony murder, the prosecution must prove:
The defendant caused the death
The killing occurred during the commission of a felony
The defendant intended to commit the felony
Also, in Louisiana, a third or subsequent DWI is... a felony.
This turd didn't intend to kill, but he caused the death during the commission of a felony, a felony he intended to commit.

You have to wonder if this guy had any insurance? If not, why was that charge not added? Louisiana requires it.

I'd guess he doesn’t. Insurance companies exclude people like that, don't they? Plus, he obviously doesn't give two hoots whether or not he's on the right side of the law.

10 year sentence still applicable after the third DWI? It used to be.

It’s a shame somebody had to die in order for this turd to go away for good.
After 2 DUIs, it should be hard prison time and permanent license revocation.
I think 1st DUI is big wake up call for most people.

Was a little disappointed when I checked it out. Figured OT would have been all over his page making comments. Of course, his cell is listed so I am sure some people will work with that.

Question for everyone here. Everyone can agree that once drunk your judgment is highly impaired, correct? So if said person leaves a bar visible and verbally wasted, should the:
1. Bar be liable
2. Should the bartender be liable
3. Would this fall under the umbrella of the Good Samaritan law? So should the people around this person be liable, too?

On a serious note someone needs to cut his head off with a hacksaw.
He wont get the same courtesy as the LSP drunk driving captain.

Since a certain level of inebriation affects every individual differently so there is no absolute assumption that anybody could make
no the only one responsible is the individual criminally
civilly if a bar knowingly continues to profit by selling drinks to a drunk person,, frick them

Would you hold a person who was on the phone or texting at the same penalty as some driving drunk? If not, you’re a hypocrite

Really wish LA took DWI's more serious. Y
I always think back to that case where a guy hit and seriously injured two kids in mandeville and left the scene. i believe he may have been driving with a suspended license as well
he didn't go to jail and got 3 years probation
