And it looks like that's exactly how you're going to get it.

Good luck, all y'all near the path, and especially to the Mexicans who are going to get the very worst of it.

According to a site I've been following, the newest readings indicate that the pressure has dropped into the 870s.

Recon extrapolation to 878mb but it wasn't a clean pass. Pressure could actually be lower.

The hurricane force windfield looks to be only about 40 miles across.

I've been to Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, I wonder how bad they're going to get hit there...

Check storm2k.org.

I'm weary of linking weather boards because there's no way to tell who knows what they're talking about. There are some verified pro Mets at 2k at least.

NHC discussions are your best source of information.

From the wiki link....damn.

The slide uncovered hundreds of venomous scorpions and snakes, which killed tens more people in the aftermath.[13] Additional hordes of scorpions were driven from their nests when the adobe walls crumbled away. The Governor of Colima, Rodolfo Chávez Carrillo and his wife issued a plea for venom inoculations afterwards.[12] In some places, the mud was 10 feet (3.0 m) deep.[21] Water supplies were badly polluted, both by debris and dead bodies.[14]
