No. That's the flight level pressure. Since the surface is around 880, it's probably not even all that high up. What this tells me is that its still condensing a whole lot of water. So it's probably not getting any weaker right now based on that.

I like him. He has tons of information all the time. Hes been calling a flood possibility for about a week now.
So much better than our local meteorologist that does nothing but downplay the situation. Last night he said Lake Charles should only get 2-3 inches of rain. I get not wanting to answer to the idiot locals here but he does take it to the extreme. He goes out of his way not to be wrong.
But with situations like this, it's better to be prepared and not chance anything rather than being conservative
