Pat O’s May be touristy but I’ll always love it.

The people in those pictures don't look trashy. What happened?

I was there for the 30th Anniversary ... freshman French Class trip at Carolina. I remember it like yesterday. Got into a fight with some Tulane baseball players in the hallway of the second floor of the La Downtowner. It had only been opened for a few months, I think the old NOLA opera house had been there at one time.

Wonder if anyone knows if that hotel is still there? I can't find it listed anywhere.

Anyways, yeah, while we were there they were celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pat O's. I've still got the hurricane glass somewhere that says 30th Anniversary on it. Or was it the 32nd? I need to find that glass.

Not sure if true but I was told they had to stop serving the Hurricane Magnum's because some drunk fell onto one of the glasses and got seriously injured. Pat O's liability insurer mandated they not use the glasses moving forward.

We got a Magnum for my HS graduation and ordered several while I was at LSU including one time when we relay raced a group from Tulane prior to the then rivalry LSU-Tulane football game. FWIW, relay racing a drink with that much alcohol was a BAD idea.

Loved Eddie. He once called me a "dumbass" and it didn't even bother me.

Went for the first time ever and had the time of my life.
Love the old muskets and rifles hanging from the top of the alley near there. Can't wait to go back next year

He called me worse than that lol. He got mad because I flipped my quarter onto his tray and he had to move to catch it and almost dumped all the quarters.
