“BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Police have arrested a controversial pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Central, La.
Pastor Tony Spell is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the Central Police Department says.
He was taken into custody Tuesday morning, April 21, outside of the church. He was transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.“

I can’t get the page up. Is this for the “assault” on the protestor? I saw the video. He backed the bus up near the dude and stopped several feet short.

Actually this is a constitutional matter. The protester had the right to be out in from of the church and not be threatened with assault with a bus. This is a joke of a "pastor." How many people of god wants to threaten a person with a bus. What a joke people are trying to defend this jackass as if this is some type of attack on religion.

The protester said his main aim is for this church to get closed down.
Sounds a lot more like this protester has an axe to grind with religion or faith than some random concerned citizen.
When we’re talking overreach, this borders on it. I’m not washing what that pastor did, or has done to date mind you. I think he’s out to lunch with this and should not be holding services right now, but then again, the protester is a bit of a sketchy person in his own right.

I saw the video. That isn't what he was trying to do at all.
He was trying to intimidate him, but you don't slam on your brakes if you're actually trying to run somebody over.
The protestor didn't move at all, the pastor didn't try to run him over.
That being said, I think this pastor is a POS but the charges won't stick.
