The rusty hood trend was actually a thing

That 3-6 mafia song and Latrell Sprewell made them huge.

Was going to post the same thing. One of my uncles drove a mid 60's Impala and that thing had curb feelers on it because he had vision issues with depth perception. Before he got them, he'd scrape curbs like crazy trying to park.
They looked ridiculous on the car----like some type alien antenna sticking out off the fenders.
I've not seen them in decades.
Edited to add this: Just checked on-line and they are still being sold. Lots of them available on Amazon and auto parts stores.

European luxury cars with //M and //AMG stickers all over them, even though it's just a ground effects and appearance package.
European SUV's with //M and //AMG packages of any sort, genuine or otherwise (it's a family wagon, not a sports car). All it does is make your tires way more expensive and the ride much rougher.
Sport packages that consist of decals applied to large and unsporty cars.
If I have to drive a boring car, I'm doing it with some sort of dignitiy. A family car pretending to be sporty is ridiculous.
"floating" car roofs. See above comments about "sporty". Your Murano (or other Nissan) does not float.

The purple Crown Royal bag hanging from the rear view mirror or used as some type decoration in cars like covering the shift lever in cars with console shifters.
It's a "culcha thang" in my part of the world.

Remember these stupid windshield wiper spoilers from the late 80's?
And of course the Calvin pissing on [insert logo] stickers.

I can't say it is awful but would make for an interesting commute everyday.

Fake fender vents.
Saw a car just the other day with those on the fenders and to make it even worse, they had bolted 2 more side view mirrors on the front of the fenders near the headlight housings.
When I was a kid growing up in the Lower 9th Ward they had a guy down the street that drove one of those land yachts they made back in the 60's.
It was originally white and he had hand painted it to look like a cow with brown and black splotches all over it and then bolted a set of Longhorn horns where the hood ornament originally was.
Totally cheesy look, but got a lot of attention rolling through the neighborhood.

Putting big rims on a classic muscle car is just idiotic.
