Too many variables. Old friends can all hang out together. But people less familiar will seperate themselves. If one in the couple knows hardly anyone, they’ll stick with spouse. I know I do until I get two beers in me.

If sports are involved women go to the kitchen or any non TV area usually. If the party revolves around a chick flick. The men will head outside weather permitting.

If an early 20’s party it’ll probably stay mixed because everyone is looking to frick somebody else. You get to my age and that shite calms down.

I'd agree with olgoi. Married couples will likely separate. Really shy people might stick with their spouse though. If there's enough alcohol consumed, the distribution becomes more random.
