There is no telling what the real story is. Hell, LaToya might have gotten so much blow back for cancelling the parade that she got them to just change the demolition to tomorrow.

Perfect fundraiser for the city. Divide the area where the crane may fall into squares and have folks bid for the Mayor and council to stand in certain squares when the crane falls.
