It ain't coming close. Venice might get a breeze. It's Louisiana, rain is almost always around the corner without any storms. I'd be way more concerned about the front moving through on Monday.

Yes, the track has shifted...thats probably why they have delayed it and not rushed it..

Yesterday they were worried about rain and high winds so they put a rush on taking the cranes down...that seems to have changed.

It's like you arent paying attention

His garbage trucks are too shiny. New Orleans can see itself in the side of the trucks and the metaphorical implications of seeing oneself in a garbage truck is too much for New Orleans to handle.

He's got to go.

I get he is cheesy and has a douche aura about him.

Only negative the hipsters harp on is the Buffas thing.

They love to hate on someone who has been a success. Torres has even helped a lot of small time minority developers up their game.

Whatever windspeed is right now in NOLA, it's already maxxed out for this weather. Nothing more than weather forecasters wanting more website hits and views. Of course JBE has chimed in as well like its friggin Katrina about to hit.

Where's Jim Cantore? Can we get him in NO to give us "storm" updates AND if he brings his helmet he can help with the demolition/implosion wearing a GoPro. Weather channel rating would be through the roof!

one of many examples was his purchase of circle food market with plans to make it a st. roch-style foot court. you been around claiborne an st. bernard lately? those people need a fricking place to buy milk and eggs, not a place for Karen to try new and inventive crepes.

dude is a hipster hack.

That would be explosive considering there is a 24” gas main running under Rampart.

If that had exploded when the building collapsed last week the explosion would have been so large that people on the north shore would have seen the fire stream. I don't think people realize how big the explosion/fire would be from this HIGH PRESSURE 24 inch gas line would be.

This would have been the absolute worst case scenario ever imagined had this really gone south last Saturday.

Have you actually kept up with what he is doing or just get your info from the DSA website?

There is a reason grocery stores aren't flocking to that area. It isn't the steady stream of government money via WiC and Louisiana Purchase cards.

Torres is about to renovate a shite building that contained a shite convenience store and the hipsters are bitching because it doesn't 'service the neighborhood'

you'd rather it sat vacant and vermin-infested?
the family that owned went out of business, after millions in loans and other assistance
