With that much top-down pressure, I don't see how they can possible salvage any of that. Who would trust it?

They won’t. And now that it’s collapsed and weight isn’t sitting where it should, everything under it or attached to the part that collapsed is getting more stressed

Morris Barr and other personal injury attorneys are licking their chops right now. Hopefully, no one was killed or seriously injured.

That video you posted shows workers running about a 4.2 to try and get away. It looks like they got clear.

The weight of whatever collapsed at the top kept forcing downward, collapsing more and more of the building, I guess until they hit some stronger supports / wider part of the building, which stopped the collapse.

The rooftop pool will now be on the ground floor.

Or is on the ground floor.

I’m hearing that they were flying structural steel beams up and they hit a steel beam or column on the floor below and it started a domino effect.

They should be someone seriously fricked up and it resulted in people getting hurt and minus a miracle killed. There should be consequences when stuff like this happens.

That's crazy, you never think about buildings just collapsing when you're in the city in traffic.

That could have been much worse, different time of day.

Ah, maybe so then. Just what I have noticed on the front porch this morning. Hasn't seemed too bad, but I am below tree line.
