Parents who teach public but send their kids to private.

Or they want a better education for their kids and don't want to take a payout to work in a private school

They see how fricked the public education system is

Mediocre private schools are a blight too.

I teach public school but send my kids to private school. I tried to get a job at a private school but they wouldn't hire me because I don't have a fancy teaching degree but the public school saw that I was a bouncer at reggies and hired me on the spot

My mother taught in the La public school system for 30.5 years before teaching an additional 10 years in private school. Myself and my two siblings were all sent to private school, with me being the last to graduate in 1983. I would say my parents chose that route because the pay and benefits were greater in the public system. My mother was asked countless times to make the move from public to private, but she refused because she did not want to have the conflict of teaching her own kids. We lived in a small La and it definitely would have happened.

Depends where it is

I would agree they also did it for the exposure to religion and good values also, but we received plenty of that home.
