Cheerleading cost me a ton that's all I know. Between travel and other cost I'm sure it cost me around 10-12K a year.

Lacrosse. I easily have several grand in just pads alone from when I played, plus I'd go through $200-$250 sticks like it was nothing. At the time lax in Orlando was a joke so my travel team flew up to the northeast for tournaments to compete with the best. I'm afraid to ask my parents how much they spent over the 9 year span that I played

Little DonChowder plays hockey. Big DonChowder can confirm the notion that hockey is a very expensive sport.

This. You have to supply all your own equipment too, unlike playing football in hs.
I played, you have to buy at least 1 hockey stick, your own helmet, shoulder pads, shin/knee guards, skates, gloves, elbow pads, hockey pants (they are the thick shorts), hockey socks (what covers the shin guards), sometimes a new helmet shield since some still come with the old metal open shield that isn't allowed.
Then you have to get the skates sharpened multiple times during the season.

Then here in the south, your kid is usually on a travel team unless you live in a large city. I didn't, so we traveled to Atlanta, a lot.

Equestrian is probably the most expensive though out of all them.

Black kids and inner city kids usually only play football, basketball, volleyball, and tack. All through the school. Im seeing more in soccer. You only see asians in socccer, tennis, and maybe swimming. Their parents dont want to spend thousands on this.

One of the cheapest is probably running. Just buy a few pairs of shoes and your good to go for a while.

Best way to do it imo... Feeding and caring for a 1000lb+ animal can be quite taxing..

What?

I've played soccer since I was 5 or 6 and have never played on a team with an Asian.

I would think this would be up there if you had to own the animals and property.
