My daughter is in her 7th year at Parkview. It's been a great school for her.

They all have their ups and downs. It really depends on your kids and their personality. I'd tour the ones you rank highest and see what vibes you pick up.

If your son has athletic ability they’ll hold him back and give him an athletic scholarship to play the sport he’s good at. I’d push my child to be great at athletics to be honest

Agreed. There are plenty of good private schools in BR depending on your budget.

One of the happiest days of my life was the last day my kids were at Parkview. Some judgemental SOBs.

Went to Parkview from kindergarten through senior year. Was a good school. Wasn't overly difficult, but prepared me just fine for college. Sports were great.

Now I'm in the same boat as you. Best as I can tell, they are all pretty much the same. Where do you live, do your kids want to play sports, how much do you want to pay. I don't think any of them are bad, and none of them are heads and shoulders better. I wouldn't live in the Garden District and drive to Episcopal. I wouldn't live in Shenandoah and go to Catholic, I'd go to PBS.

Knew people from Dunham who slept through college because it was that easy. Knew people from Dunham that couldn't make it at BRCC.

It's a good school, but no school is going to guarantee your kid success, obviously.

My wife went to public school in Livingston Parish. I'm not positive her education was any different than mine.

We got apps in at 2 catholic schools for pre-K. Should hear back from them in about a week or so. One school, I’m 100% sure we’re gonna get a seat.

We’re gonna shoot for Mayfair Lab and BR FLAIM next year for kindergarden. If that fails, we still have our spot at the catholic school.

I’m reallllyyyy trying to get out of paying tuition if I don’t have to.

We send our grandchild to Trinity Episcopal. Couldn't be happier. Small classes, and we have been very pleased with what she has been exposed to this year.

Whatever one you put as your first choice is the only one you usually have a shot at. Both of these schools are going to have a lottery.

Nah. We live in the Jones Creek area in BR. I like the Madisonville area though.

My oldest went to BR Flaim and is at Sherwood for MS. I also have a 3rd grader at BR Flaim.

BR FLAIM has been a great experience for both my kids and the other parents have become some of my best friends.
