But hey, why should we hold parents accountable.
Also I'm sure a lot of parents will tell their kid to steal it, and if the get caught the parents just play dumb. I know when my cousin stole a pack of batteries as a kid, his mom beat his fricking arse. I'm talking about beat that motherfricka like he stole something. That was the only time I've ever seen her whoop him and she tore him several new ones.

I also wonder why she has the one-year old in her hands to begin with? I hope they tacked on child endagerment as well. Check that two counts of child endangerment.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) regulates the use of child restraint systems for children meeting certain age and height requirements while inside a motor vehicle.
Safety seat regulations for minors in the state include:
The use of a child restraint device for children:
Under 8 years old.
AND
4 ft 9 in tall and under.
A required booster seat for children:
5 to 7 years old.
AND/OR
Under 4 ft 9 in tall.

Cops roll up, guns loaded and aimed, screaming and cursing.....all over a $1 toy doll.

Neither that cop nor those parents should be getting any money from the police department going forward. Problem solved.

So do you back how the parents handled the situation and their lawsuit?

$50 bucks says there's a hell of a lot of pertinent info omitted from the story
You can be sure. This is not about a four year old or a doll.
But they will continue to spin some fake news story.

It’s really time we get rid of the 4th and 8th amendments. They have held this country back for too long. If someone commits a crime, just let the cops shoot them right there. Get rid of the courts and judges and all that liberal bs and just let police officers take out suspects on the spot, including their children. We have to go for their families too, because then no one would commit crimes anymore
This is a really bad take

You'll be glad to know that there are government agencies that are not burdened with due process, ie CPS and the FDA to name a few.

Lesha, driving around as a passenger holding a baby unrestrained. CPS needs to get involved. What trash.

$30,000 a gun and a tin badge gets you those jack asses.
Makes good officers’ jobs that much more difficult when these try hards are out there pulling this shite

So, it wasn't just a doll. There were other items stolen, as well. And, someone who felt the need to give a fake name to the police.
Well that makes how they handled it seem perfectly reasonable....

I think the cop should be fired and they should receive some sort of compensation for how it appears to have been handled, unless there’s a MAJOR curveball we don’t know about yet

refused to comply multiple times while resisting arrest
The flip side is the cop needs to give clear and reasonable to follow instructions.
Screaming to put your hands up to a woman holding a baby in a parking lot in Phoenix heat probably isn’t going to end well. Firmly directing her to somewhere reasonable to set the child down or hand him over is much easier to comply with, no?
Posted on 6/15/19 at 4:02 pm to NoSaint
The officer did tell her to put the baby down. She could have left the baby on the seat or restrained in the car seat, oh wait. Walking around with a baby/not following commands after being stopped and arrested is resisting arrest. The officers gave numerous commands that were obviously disobeyed if you watch and listen. And the parents should be compensated for what? What damages were made? They resisted arrest, and the officers were able to arrest both parties while keeping the children and both parents completely unharmed and hardly even touched.

If you don’t want a cop to point a gun at you, don’t break the law, resist arrest, and use your child as a hostage. No reason for a lawsuit.

Oh by the way, the family has filed a 10 million dollar law suit against the police.
Doubt they get 10 million, but trust me they’re going to get paid. And for good reason (assuming veracity of the story)

Remember when America claimed to be free, and the soviets that pulled this shite were the bad guys?
I remember....
