Seems a step behind having a cop shove a gun in your face as a small child

This is what I’m saying.

Kid steals something, let the parent know and let them handle it.

But having the cops roll up 100% wide open? Naw playa.

I worked retail when I was in college. We had a kid come in with his mom, and we saw him take a pair of $10 headphones and put it in his pocket.

When his mom was paying for her stuff, we told her that we saw your son taking a pair of headphones, and placed the empty packet on the counter. Mom gave her son “the look”, and told him to pay for it.

Boy didn’t have any money. Mom said “we’ll i don’t have any money either”....Mom made the boy call his dad, and dad has to leave work, come to the store and pay for the headphones.....

JUST SO, an off duty cop was in the store and he gave the boy a good talking too, and asked him what school he goes to?

Boy said McKinley High. Cop said McKinley? I’ll be having a talk with Mr. Brown tmmw. (The longtime principal).

So the boy got it from his mom, dad, cop, and school principal.

All over a $10 pair of headphones

Only in America do people break the law then expect (and too often prevail) to parlay it into a pay day.

by the way, that piece of candy was .02

While I agree in spirit, the response by the cops was just a TAD too much.

Cops shouldn’t pull their gun out unless the plan on using it. No way were they taught to shoot someone over petty theft

Gotta be more to this. Seems excessive to arrest over a toddler stealing an item from the store unless cameras showed the parent told the kid to do it.

I remember I was around 5 and mad my dad wouldn’t buy me a candy bar so I stole one from the store. Let’s just say when he found out I never did it again.

And if all that is in the report is everything that happened, I agree. But the way the cops acted makes it seem like the couple had either tried to elude the cops or were ignoring/resisting them.

What more do you need to justify pointing a gun at an infant?

Nothing those trashy parents did or were alleged to have done, warrants that type of response from the cops.

I’m sure there is more to this race baiting story. There always is.

All of you idiots saying you’ll wait until more facts come out or there is more to the story are lazy as shite. Read the linked article, it goes into details on why the cops were after them.

Well.. Apparently there was more shoplifting that just the barbie doll. There were 4 adults with multiple shoplifting going on. Also dude driving off from the scene after being told by the cop not to leave.

LINK

So this wasn't just a Young child took a Barbie doll simple here. There is way more to it.

Unfortunately, these videos typically only start after things escalate. I'll wait for all the info to come out.

They eluded police and refused to comply multiple times while resisting arrest. The cops do not know their intentions of eluding/resisting, which were likiely to get the kids to someone to keep them sonce they were likely going to jail which is understandable. However, resisting arrest while holding a baby is pretty much a hostage situation. Should the cops have kept them guns away and let the parents continue to use their kids to avoid arrest?

In my experience allegations in a personal injury lawsuit are always true, understated, and never embellished. They also never leave out critical facts that the case usually turns on.
