It was Atlanta spring break weekend, I’ll leave it at that.

Gotta make it suck for a while until those that we don’t speak of stop coming.
It’s a problem now that no town wants to have any spring break or graduation groups.
And yes PCB did clean up some and stopped wanting to host any young crowds of any kind. I guess they relaxed things this year, because it recent years they def didn’t want the young crowds/
I had some great times in PCB in the early 90’s. Lifelong memories were made.

Was there with the wife a few years back, Just after spring break, the waitress at the place we were eating was bitching about there not being any crowds anymore due to the cop cracking down. It was like over developed Gulf Shores to me. Cheap arse oysters, 15/dozen at a few places. We are going back but off season.

They are/were cleaning it up. Then those thugs decided to shoot up the outside of Dave and Busters.

Quit going after Monday Night Nitro. College kids ruined that town. It's beaches were gorgeous.

Local version of Cops called "Blue Lights" was always good in PCB during spring break...

Google shows 49 vape shops* in PCB, which tends to verify OP's thesis.

Are you the young rebellious Rip Torn, or the older, conformist Rip Torn?

Most definitely. Wasn’t trying to defend PCB by no means. Trashy as hell. But honestly me and my friends were pretty trashy as well so we fit right in.
When my daughter graduated high school, some of her friends planned a trip to PCB. She knew I had gone and thought I was so hypocritical for not letting her go. Wasn’t no way in HELL I was letting her go. I knew she was likely already having sex but nagging your boyfriend in the backseat of his car is one thing. Some of the things I witnessed and participated in at PCB are a whole other story.

In 88, we had 9 people staying in room 218 at The Summit. Wild arse parties the 1st 3 nights where our room was like a crowded bar. The building management told us we were going to be kicked out if we didn’t calm it down.
And we also caravan down as a group in 6 or 7 vehicles. Four to six per car. A lot of our classmates also had rooms at The Summit. I look back and remember us all going 90-100 mph down the rural hwys from west side of Atlanta through Dothan and down to PCB. A miracle that none of us died going down or the whole week we were there.

Senior trip 1990 and Spring Break 1989. Almost a dream.
Funneled a litre of DR pepper and beam by accident, was making out with a girl after on a dune and couldn’t close my eyes to risk puking. We started walking back to the room and all hell stirred loose from my mouth. As I was told, she took me upstairs, brushed my teeth, tossed her tampon in the trash and screwed me with three dudes in the room. I woke up to a murder scene and had no idea what happened.

Dirk this is like a carbon copy of my high school Spring Break sophomore thru senior year. I had a 1993 5.0 mustang notchback in high school and the speedometer went to 140. I had that thing pinned all the way on 85 south between Atlanta and Columbus
Drove all three years and somehow not a single ticket.
