Have older Honda accord that I am thinking of getting repainted. Anyone have recommendations around Baton Rouge of a place to do this and any idea what the cost would be?

I’m fixing a hole where the rain gets in.

I’ll get back with you when I’m done.

I had an older spare car painted before I sold it at that place off airline near coursey. It was cheap as hell and I was kind of shocked at the quality for the price.

Don’t get me wrong - it wasn’t a good paint job but for $700 it worked for what I needed.

Go to Sherwin Williams and do it yourself. It will be impressive and stand out on its own.

All depends on how much body work you want done. Body work is very labor intensive, and is what cost the most.

When I was a sophomore in high school my dad gave my brother and I his old pickup truck. The thing was a rust bucket. So dad decided we would sand it down, fix the bad spots with bondo and paint it - with a damn paint brush.
I was probably around 16. I was happy to have transportation, but I did park it as far from school as possible

First ask yourself if it’s worth it. A decent paint job and no body work will cost over 1700$.
Body work adds up quick.

Maaco in Kenner by the airport
Got my 2002 Explorer painted 5 years ago and it still looks new. Only cost $1,000 for the premium job with clear coat..

Do the prep work yourself and then bring it to fact o bake for them to spray it. They can spray because that’s what they do….however they will also spray directly over dirt. That will be your lowest price option and have a decent looking paint job.

You can do it yourself pretty cheap if you are so inclined. It’s a bit of work but you can get good results if you are fairly meticulous.

Also, shoot a single stage paint. Just less hassle and will do what you want it to do.

I used Gerber because one of my dozen drummers from the past (and few that are still alive) is their shop lead or whatever you call it. They did solid work on a 2010 Toyota that had the dreaded white paint that eventually comes off.
