Anyone else feel this way? Back in the day you just made one tear with little effort and shite was open. Now you basically need a Swiss Army knife and you better work out or else you’re going to embarrass yourself trying to open that Barbie doll package.

More and more of the clamshell welded plastic packaging comes with an easy open tab somewhere on the back that just lets you pull the whole perforated back off. Sometimes it isn't obvious and you have to look for it.

I bought a knife and it came in that packaging.

Quite the conundrum.

I'd be interested to see a cost breakdown on what some of the packaging vs product.

Especially on items that sell for less than $20.

Some sadistic chinaman came up with the tabs covered in tape holding toys to cardboard. Why do they have to secure this plastic junk so tightly?

Once you remove the plastic packaging, the next level of torture is the plastic twist ties.
