These very same people would sue Trump for declaring cities or states with sanctuary city/state policies ineligible for federal funding, would they not?

Instead, those funds will be allocated to counties working to stop the spread of #COVID19.

How about this, states that continue lockdown beyond this week will not be eligible for federal funds in order to help them recover from the economic fallout of an extended lockdown. At this point, any financial burdens at the state level are optional.

Once those deaths started plateauing, those governors weren’t going to want to open back up since it would inevitably increase those numbers and they wouldn’t want to be the ones with their names on the order to reopen.

When do counties start revoking the permits needed to operate a nursing home, care place, etc.?

That movement of the infirm / removal of the infirm would decrease Corona mortality rates in a county. And that, it seems, is all that matters.

OTOH, all the votes that the infirm have been doing absentee would go to another county.

One of the downsides to democracy, especially in the information age, is the incentive for officials to act in a manner that is beneficial to their power security rather than what is really beneficial to society in general.

Nope. One of the benefits of autarky is that you can tell everyone else to frick off.

Several NOLA festivals have reached out to us already. We are working diligently to bring them to Jefferson this year.
