Your math is way off on Covid deaths. Add a few zeroes in front of that one.

Good to know. I won't be taking it so I did not know how rare it was. But gastroparesis sucks big time.

I saw something on the news where a lady was throwing up constantly and just kept taking it. But if it is that rare the media did not point that it was a one off of course.

well the medicine is designed to change behaviors...if you continue to eat like shite and try to stuff your face...the medicine will punish it for you

either change the behavior, enjoy the punishment or get off the medicine.

its designed to make you sick if you decide to eat like a fat frick.

The best part of Ozempic is that it nuked the widely-held view that losing weight is too hard because "healthy food is too expensive".

It's proven that the actual cause of being overweight is simply eating too much.

I was on the fence about it. My doctor was telling me he would prescribe it but won't sell me on it. I decided not to for now. He also told me to not be surprised if it is approved by the FDA as a weight loss drug within a couple years (its just diabetes now. right?)

I think if you are above 40 lbs overweight its worth the risk compared to the health risk by doing nothing. If you have not lost the weight by now you likely won't unless you have a divine intervention.

uhh, that happened last year. its called 'zepbound' and its the more aggressive form of semaglutide; tirzepatide.

LINK

the problem is the weight comes off so fast people are left looking hollow and unhealthy unless they pick up their protein and gym game.

If on one of these meds, be sure to eat plenty of protein (1 gram for each lb of your IDEAL weight….thats 175 grams for me) each day and exercise at least moderately 3-4 days per week. This is what anybody and everybody should be doing, but if you are obese, you likely haven’t been doing such. Also, there’s a good chance you will need to take something to keep your bowels moving like they should. Overall, it seems these meds are a hell of a lot better than obesity and/or diabetes!

Yea it's annoying - it's for lazy people that don't want to work to lose weight. Easy to just get an injection and fake it.

Bunch of fat folks are going to lose muscle mass and bone density because of malnourishment, then ortho docs are gonna be busier than ever.

I'm just sad because I might not get to see anymore catchy Jardiance commercials with a dancing bowling ball who is so joyful with her morbidity.

Lifetime of diarrhea sounds pretty bad, not to mention isn’t it like $1400/mo for life?

It's for lazy people who are too lazy to do the work necessary to not be fat, obese slobs. All they need to do is practice self control and eat less. And lift heavy. I'll post a few pictures of myself to show what I'm talking about in a bit. How lifting heavy is all you need to do. These things are horrible for you. I'm 50 years old and have sex with hundreds of women, started when I was 14. What more do you need to know? - Ronricks, probably.

Been on Wegovy for nearly 2 years. Within the first year Iost between 90-95 pounds and have maintained that for nearly a year since. My BMI is now normal, my BP is under control, I no longer have daily migraines, it reversed my fatty liver, and my sugar levels are now back to normal. I don't really care if people think I cheated or that I'm lazy because ultimately I lost the weight.

I've lost weight before in my adult life (albeit not this much) and almost always started regaining it back as soon as I lost it. This is the longest I've maintained weight after a weight loss in my entire life.
