I'd rather spend money on taking my family to Disney than what these parents are spending on kids for travel ball at age 8 - which is probably the same or more. All because they think their kid will get the next NIL deal when in reality, they won't make the high school team.

I meant it as it wasn't tied to my car our house insurance. It didn't require me to have them together like State Farm's does. It does extend the coverage, but wasn't required to be all with the same carrier.

I got one with Zach at The Mathews Agency - my rate with State Farm tripled a couple months ago and he was able to get me a way better rate with an umbrella policy that wasn't tied to my car or house insurance. I don't know much about umbrella, but just know I need one and he had a great option for me.
Goosehead - Zach Davis. Mine doubled with State Farm and he got me back down to what I was paying before the doubling with same coverage and a lower deductible. He had access to a lot of options. I went with SageSure.
There's a bunch of companies out there that will do it. I've found one that's good and not too expensive for what you get that I can send you if you want. I've had them build a few different kinds of sites and it always turned out well.

are you with the media and taking something out of context? He does that and then puts his hand back on his heart and says "thank you!! my heart goes out to you"

He's just a gem that's going to take us all to Mars
That's why you only eat gulf oysters grilled. PNW oysters raw are the way to go.
Yea do term. I'm in the insurance world and I never recommend whole. Don't do it.
There's a new agent in Baton Rouge I switched to and he was able to save me money on all 3 of my rental houses in BR without having to adjust coverage negatively. It was pretty sweet - he's got good options!

Yea it's annoying - it's for lazy people that don't want to work to lose weight. Easy to just get an injection and fake it.

Bunch of fat folks are going to lose muscle mass and bone density because of malnourishment, then ortho docs are gonna be busier than ever.
Looking for a pass in 103 for Alabama vs LSU. let me know!
Starting a company in Baton Rouge and need to find quality people. I know LinkedIn is good but want to avoid some of these recruiter shops because they send unqualified people.

Any recommendations on a spot to find candidates who are interested in a career in a certain field?
I somewhat disagree with Ocean - wouldn't say it's easy, but he's painting a picture that it's some daunting thing you shouldn't pursue.

I'll try and help out.

1. No special type of insurance - I'd just make sure you have a decent amount of liability on the policy. You could tell your insurer it will be rented and want to bump it up.

2. You don't have to necessarily move the property into an LLC, but you should run all expenses and income through one.

3. I manage a few properties I own in Baton Rouge and I live 6.5 hours away. Sure I wish I was closer, but there has never been an issue that required me to be there immediately. The main thing is to set it up right on the front end. i.e. smart systems, good reliable cleaner(s), etc. I'd only say a property manager is worth the 30% they charge if you owned a spot on the beach or some other high dollar, high traffic area.

4. I use both airbnb and vrbo. They both have smart pricing systems built into them and I adjust bigger weekends myself.

5. I thought airbnb would be the more popular option but I see more bookings through vrbo.

Hope this helps.
Not sure how many people you have coming with you, but I stayed in an Airbnb off Perkins near Garden District coffee. It was awesome. Easy in and out to campus on gameday. Easy on and off interstate. It was perfect.

Baton Rouge Mortgage People

Posted by TigerChamp2009 on 4/10/24 at 8:56 am
Hey all - buying an investment property in Baton Rouge. Wondering if anyone has recommendations of a good bank/mortgage guy/gal that is getting creative right now with products? Just trying to see if there is anything out there other than a conventional 30 year mortgage.

Thanks!
