When they lose Gordon Kieth, Dunham and Miller, that station will be done.

He’s decent and Cobra is okay. When those guys are gone the younger guys just can’t compete with their schtick.

FWIW, bankruptcy in Texas favors the filer - not the creditors.
In what ways for a corporate entity filing under Chapter 11?

90.1 is only music based station that is worth a damn
89.7 and 90.9 (fridays and saturdays) are good too
I mostly stream if I'm planning to be in the car for more than a few minutes, but those are the local FM stations I'll flip thru along with the classic rock station on 107.5 - but that's usually the same 10 songs.

Who has listened to the radio in 15 years? Even going back to 2001, I'd burn CDs for my Sony five disc changer of audiobooks to drive from SC/ATL to BTR. The only time I've had to deal with the radio is when CarPlay doesn't connect fast enough and I get blasted with AM radio programs (ads) about gold and investing in real estate.

I would love to know how much each of the Musers make per year. I remember when Greggo got fired around 2007 there was an expose on him in the Dallas Observer that said he was making $500k. That’s basically a Communist rag so I would love to know if that was true or not.

If you had the coin and the willingness to work you could probably nab your own radio station again pretty soon

500K is way more than I would’ve thought. I remember when that went down, Williams going into rehab and everything.

I still listen to a few stations. I am also in the car more than most people for work
I am not paying for XM cause I pay for enough shite already. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone else pick the music for you
However it’s public access stuff that generally plays good music.
It would be nice if the corporate radio bubble pops and stations go back to local DJs but that’s a pipe dream

Corporations buying up fast food franchises and radio stations turned them both to shite.

Only station worth a damn out of Houston is 106.9 the eagle.
Hated it when they killed off the Legends country a couple years ago.

Reminded me of 94.5 Buzz Fest back in the day. Those drew some solid names 20+ years ago.

I haven’t listened to radio for music in nearly 10 years.
