That location had 29 fatal overdoses since 2021
The airline location had 32

Each has had “hundreds” of calls to 911 since the year began according to a prior report

Isn’t that where the gov put up the homeless during Covid?

It's only $10 an hour...or so I've been told.

I was on Sherwood near 12 last weekend for the first time in quite a while. That place was like a straight up zombie movie. Even saw multiple drug deals out in the open like they were just bumming a cigarette.

If feels like only yesterday that the Callaway was a place for elderly sex parties.

The joke in other threads has been “OYO = On Your Own”.

It is pretty much a universal sign that it is a dirtbag motel owned by Indians.

I had a girl working for me who stayed there with her husband and kids. Eventually they were kicked out for non-payment and just lived behind it. Not sure what happened to them, but it was a rough life they had.

The whole area would benefit from its demolition.

Yeah wasn’t it like a poor man’s Glenn’s on Thursday nights?

There is an OYO in Denham with the exact same issues and reputation. It's like their business model. I don't know how local gov. can't get these types of places shutdown or condemned? They can do it with rub & tug parlors, why not these hotels?

Every single oyo hotel I’ve ever seen looks like it isn’t even actually operating. I wouldn’t drive through the parking lot of one.

man, if I won the powerball. I would happily offer them twice that much just so I can assume ownership and then demolish it. Sherwood and I10 wouldn't be as bad if those sleazy motels were erased.

Also, Metro Council has an ordinance in effect that enables the city to penalize these shitholes but no one enforces it.

If the sheer number of yearly overdoses does not justify action, I don't know what does.

I passed by there about a month ago and they had an out of state travel ball team unloading and I pulled in the parking lot and told them the best thing they could do was load everyone back up and find another place or go home cause it's full of drugs and prostitution. They all but said "frick off".

As I was wiping the blood off my nuckles and sipping on my 44oz slush, I drove back by and they were loading everyone up in a hurry. Needless to say, they were not the only ones who fricked around and found out that day!

I assume the prostitutes were for the dad to do his own “travel ball”.
