Rooting for it is another. We should want to embrace New Orleans as a showcase venue for large events. Its improvement is a goal everyone in the state should share. Without New Orleans as an economic driver, Louisiana is Kentucky or Kansas or West Virginia, quickly.
Okay.
I’m rooting for the citizens of Nola to get their collective heads out their asses. But history says they won’t.

I don't think people actually want the city to fail. I think most people are aggravated that it has turned into such a shithole by electing incompetent morons over and over.
I used to LOVE New Orleans. Now it's just disgusting and dangerous. I wish it was better. I understand why people make fun of it.

Nobody wants to pay the taxes they pay now; imagine if they had to double that to keep the French quarter clean. New Orleans is known all over the US as a complete shithole with old world charm and a good food scene. Embrace it.

They really just let any dumbass start a thread these days.

So Nola votes just like the whole state. Why would they be any different?

They'll keep it clean for the next month as Mardi Gras is right around the corner. It'll go the crap quickly after that though.

My city doesn't elect retard trash from Compton to be mayor and isn't run with that level of incompetence.

Just a few more hair pick statues and NO will be the crown jewel of the U.S.

You should have pushed her in front of a bus.

No champ, we want it to succeed. It just proved that it can succeed if it wants (needs for optics) to.
If I can temporarily in a flash clean the city up then it should be able to be long term clean.
Leadership didn’t want the optics for visitors, but won’t do a thing once their checks cash from those visitors.

Not from what it has to offer.

Well thats weird, it must have offered something....immediate financial impact of the SB looks like 600-700 million with a follow on wake over a billion.

I bet I know what happened. Since NO really hasnt changed much since the 1600s I bet you changed over the years. That could be it.

Would be nice if all urban areas could maintain the effort they put into their downtowns during super bowls and final fours and not just once every 5-10 years. Really is an indictment on local government not giving a shite.

24 was a really good year and 25 off to a good start.
This is the last year LaToya if she survives that long. Her journey with the feds is about to begin. And I'm hearing 2 really good names for mayor, outsiders and NOT currently on the CC or in the DAs office.
We'll see.

Because it has to fail to get better. Leadership there isn't able to take action...only reaction
