No issues.. Unless you close to coast. Salt Air will kill it faster no matter what you buy

I've had a cheapo flatscreen hanging on my back porch for 10 years. No issues, except I want a bigger one now.

We've had a ($600 at the time) 75" Vizio from Sams since November 2019 with no issues. When we're not watching it we raise it up so it's hidden at the top of the pavilion but no reason to spend thousands; they've become disposable now.

Run of the mill LG LED hung outside on covered deck in 2016, no direct rain, but plenty of that southern US humidity you speak of. Still works like it always has.

Put an old TV on the wall on my back patio , not far from the edge of the roof. Still going strong after 3.5 years out there.

Have a 15 yr old Vizio that I used to carry out to the porch or set by the pool when I wanted. Redid my porch about a year ago and permanently installed it in the back corner. Does not get direct rain but plenty of heat and humidity. Still works great and have no issues with glare.

I work in tv biz. Don’t waste money on an outdoor made tv

I got my 60 inch on clearance at Best Buy for $299 and it’s going strong 2 years later

I've had a cheap roku TV hanging in my shop for 8 years now. Gets dirt daubers and spider webs and other assorted nastyness in it all the time. Gets extremely hot in the summer time when i dont have the shop open. No issues. Don't worry about jt.

No issues here. I have a plasma TV on my patio. Been there 3-4 yrs. Bought at a pawn shop. That's where it's replacement will come from as well.

I tend to agree. An outdoor rated TV can set you back nearly 10 times that price. The only difference is brightness and that it is is made with water/humidity ingress in mind. Some outdoor sets are ultrabright so they can overcome the brightness of the sun. So if you are planning on making one work and last. The key is to put it recessed so it is in the shade and out of the elements.
