if you didn't grow up with one, you'll never know.

clothes weren't meant to be swirled around in a humid cramped dryer. they were meant to flow in the wind and let the sun give them a freshness you'll never get from a couple scented pieces of toliet paper thrown into the dryer.

too bad nobody has these anymore except every single suburban backyard in movie chase scenes.

I lived in a few countries where clothes dryers were not an option, and I still air dry after moving home. Especially my jeans, just not the same from the dryer

If the government is trying to save energy this seems like a no brainer.

Those frickers came off the line so rough that you could use them to sand down a fender on a 1977 Buick.

Nothing like bed sheets dried on the close line.

I dry my free fly and merino shirts on a clothesline. they smell fresh AF. It's normally so humid down here that it takes forever. It'd make more sense in a more arid climate

My grandparents hung their clothes up to dry at their farm .. mainly because the dryer jacked their electric bill up too high and they bitch about it constantly

We have a clothesline that we use for sheets and towels. It's refreshing to see when I look outside and there's a slight breeze.

Definitely smell a lot fresher than stuff from the dryer.

All fine and dandy until yout put a pair of shorts on and discover the pockets are full of pissed off bees.

All fine and dandy until the line falls into disuse and sags over time so that it is just neck high to a person on a riding lawnmower. Very dangerous when that person may be distracted trying to cut close to the pole to help with weed eating.

All fine and dandy until a bird shits all over your nice clean sheets.

All fine and dandy until you jump up to grab the cross bar and swing on it and the tube has a wasp nest in it, leading to you getting stung by a pissed off mahogany wasp.

I smelled like snuff for a week after that one.

Thanks grandma!
