I’m currently at war with the State of Arkansas.

Jerk cop pulled me over in a construction zone for going over when no construction workers were present and no signs were posted.

The ticket is $340 for 70 in a 55

What happens if you don’t pay these things? Do they drop it?

EDIT: I know I made a mistake shite happens. Just trying to see if anything else can be done cus I can’t afford that rn.

What would the fine be for 70 in a 55 without construction workers present.

ETA Although if you drove the speed limit you wouldn’t have these problems.

They'll stand at the border shaking their fists at you. You are free, behind their state line, to dance and/or taunt them, and they can't do anything about it.

You will get a bench warrant.

You'll likely have a warrant out in Arkansas but more than likely not extraditable anywhere else. If you plan on going back to Arkansas for anything, definitely take care of it. If not, well........

Ive gotten one in a construction zone before.

You’re gonna have to pay the fine man. You went over the limit in a construction zone... it sucks, but you went over the limit in a construction zone. I dont think i need to say that you went over the limit in a construction zone again, but you went over the limit in a construction zone.

It’s not dropped.

Dude, start accepting responsibility and pay the fine. There’s no need to be irresponsible trash.

And slow the frick down.

No. Two different things can happen.

1. They send it off eventually to a debt collector and it will hit your credit report.

2. A bench warrant will be issued for you and should be pulled over in Arkansas again, you may be arrested.

There is a chance they ignore it, but extremely slim. More than likely #1 will happen. If they issue the bench warrant, #1 will also be included as well more than likely.

Pay the ticket and learn to accept you made a mistake.

If you aren't going to contest it..... don't think they are going to drop a ticket as a random act of kindness. You either contest the ticket, pay the ticket or stay the hell out of Arkansas. I would suggest the later.

You've been charged with a crime. They'll issue a warrant.

Pay the ticket.

Not so sure about that. I may be mistaken, but your license can be suspended until its paid. Correct me if I'm wrong

I had similar happen in Texas. I opted not to pay. That was a HUGE mistake.
The county sold the ticket to a collection company. I had to pay a Round Rock company twice the cost of the ticket.
Why did I pay?
Because my Louisiana license was suspended for not paying the Texas ticket. For which I was only pulled over for having out of state plates.
I had to pay reinstating fees in Louisiana, Texas fines.

My $300 ticket turned into a $1200 nightmare.

yeah they do. Don't worry about paying it, they don't really care. Treat it like a red light camera in New Orleans.

Happened to me with a ticket from Florida that I actually forgot about. They will flag your license in the state you live. When you go to renew your license you’ll have to pay the ticket then. Pay it now or pay it later
