Assuming that baw lives in LA I'd pay a ticket in Arkansas.

I got a jaywalking ticket in Vancouver, Canada when I was 19 and they had about a 0% chance of ever seeing that money

Buddy of mine got a ticket in Arkansas. Didn’t pay it. A few years later, on the way to Dallas, he decided to go up through Arkansas for some reason and across to Dallas. Got pulled over again, saw that he had a ticket he didn’t pay, and they took him in and made him pay it

1. Don't pay it and you risk being pulled over in the future for an outstanding warrant. This happened to me a few years back, never paid a ticket in KY, got pulled over in AZ, they took my license on the spot, had to tow car home, pay KY ticket, pay fines in AZ. Major hassle.

2. If you show up to your court date there is a possibility of the cop not showing and it being dismissed. I got a speeding in a construction zone ticket on I-10 outside of El Paso and at court a few weeks later the state trooper was MIA, dismissed, no fines.

3. If you show up to court and you have a clean record there is a chance they lower the charge to basic speeding and your fine is lowered. Or they give you a 90 day deferral/dismissal and you pay just the court costs (and get no tickets in 90 days). I received a $500 ticket for talking on the phone in a bum frick Permian town a few years ago. Went to court, judge gave me a deferral, paid $100, done.

4. Worst case you show up to court, cop is there, judge shows no leniency, you have to pay the fine. Most courts allow you to set up a payment plan if you can't afford to pay it all today.

I would advise being proactive, showing up to court nicely dressed and respectful, most judges appreciate that when 90% of the room will be tatted up degenerates making excuses about why they did or didn't do whatever landed them in court.

Lol, I got pulled over Wednesday, 43 in a 35. The officer walked up, and asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I told him I wasn’t sure, that my favorite country music song had came on while I was thinking about my portfolio, as whitely and as clearly annunciated as I could, and he let me go with a warning. It wasn’t as funny as I had hoped, but hey, no ticket no fks.

Arkansas is likely in a reciprocal relationship with Louisiana on this. When they suspend you for not paying, they will report to Louisiana, who will suspend you as well.
