why's her panties all in a bunch? If I recall, TAF writes the University a check for several million dollars every year, its not TAF's fault the university/state doesn't use the money to fix that shitty library. Also, its not TAF's fault that the state squanders our tax dollars so there aren't more funds to cover basic building repairs, books, computers, etc.
What she and the rest of her lot don't realize is that the new football facility is to attract better players, better players = better team, better team = more exposure, more exposure = more money, more money = TAF writing a bigger check to the university. Ultimately bettering the football team betters the university, you can see it in action at Alabama, since Saban showed up and got the football train rolling their academics have also risen.

They are getting that way from what I knew of them. My wife use to do a lot of design work for all the public universities in Tennnessee. All the ones doing big redesigns to the libraries have basically made them 90% or more study space. Books/magazines/etc are all going electronic for the most part with the exception of rare collections.

It annoys me when I see money or efforts getting put into something that seems trivial and then someone comments something along the lines of “that many people can help clean up the oceans?”
