Guy won big at Lauberge when I was working there. Gave everybody who helped him on the way out a 10k stack. 70 or 80k worth.

Dana Strum, bass player of the 80’s rock band Slaughter tipped me like 250+ once. I was never a fan of the band but he was pretty cool. He told some wild arse stories from life on the road in the 80’s.

Before I got married, I'd hit Waffle House Christmas morning. I'd order one waffle, and a hashbrown, scattered smothered and covered. Current prices put this at a sub $10 order. I'd leave a $100 tip.

I cocktail waitressed at L’Auberge. Biggest tip I’ve seen is in the thousands. Some of those regulars really spoil the girls there. Or did.

There were some really sweet girls that worked there, especially pre-Covid, who busted their arse and were just generally cool. I didn't mind tipping a couple of them well but not to the tune of thousands But well enough that I didn't stay thirsty long while at the Pai-Gow table...

I've tipped waitresses $20 that weren't mine because I saw them busting arse for other tables.

Word gets around fast amongst servers when you aren't a stingy douche. Everyone at my watering hole knows that when you can't see beer above my hand (Guinness glass, so your pinky goes at the bottom) they just send it.

Tipped our pregnant waitress 200 one time.

Biggest I've left in proportion to the bill was a nigerian lady delivered my groceries to work. She was in a shite box car with no AC and looked 10 months pregnant. I basically just gave her all the cash in my wallet. As a credit to immigrants she did everything she could to get me to take it back. Even going so far as to park and come into the office to ask me to take it back.

A couple of the old timers saw, understood the mission, and probably gave her a grand total of 2k total. Not bad for delivering maybe 50 bucks worth of groceries.

I really hope she's doing well. She was incredibly kind.

I always tip $100 at Waffle House around Christmas time. I usually try to leave it on the table kinda hidden so that I'm gone before they get it. A couple years ago, the waitress came running out to my truck and gave me a huge hug and said it meant the world to her.

This guy had 3 pours of Louis XIII @ $400 each. There were a couple of apps and drinks on his tab, but nothing crazy. Bill before tip was around $1450. He liked the bartender so he left him $1k tip. Pretty baller.

$400 tip at Capital Grille in Pittsburg. Had dinner with high school buddies back in 2011 where we had a meet up for the LSU-WV football game. Fun night.
