Read something in WSJ that 1 in 3 people in frats at SEC Schools are millionaires 10 years after graduating.
Idk if its parents footing the bill or really good social skills but I find this interesting

So 33% of LSU frat grads are millionaires. That certainly explains all of the wealth demonstrated here every day

Daddy needs someone to inherit the business and then drive it into the ground.

Don't call your fraternity a frat. You wouldn't call your country...

He was my big brother and was an ag science major
Got into a sales role and worked his way to the top and whenever the owner retired, he handed over the keys

Most people don't understand how much truth is in this sentence.

He’s probably one of the top WC brokers in the US.
Bought a $2mm house on the water in Tampa when we were all 28. Has a 42 yellowfin and a 1300 acre farm in Alabama.
At one point he had an apt in the upper west side for a year he would go to a few times a month.
Happy for his success, he has a pretty awesome life it seems but late 30’s still not married (is finally engaged) and no kids - happy with my route in life.
I accidentally stabbed him and embedded a leather man in his foot once after shotgunning a beer - I like to think that’s what drove him.
Consequently the knife incident was the tamest thing that happened to me that day.
ETA: didn’t go to an SEC school - technically became a millionaire on paper 12 years after I graduated but it doesn’t feel like it 99.999999999% of the time

Is that more successful than a business owner who makes tens of millions per year?

Is an attorney, and owns a few banks…

Theres a federal judge, a multiple time NYT best selling author, plus a bunch of business owners, real estate developers, attorneys and various corporate types who are multimillionaires if you’re including living alumni.

I wasn't in a frat (graduated from State) and I'm a millionaire (took longer than 10 years though!)
