6,400 miles give or take. I've always been a loner so we cope just fine. It's not difficult to stay in touch in modern society.

I live about 4.5 hours from my mom and about 25 minutes from my dad. Just bought a new house 1.5 miles away from my dad.

My folks are 40 minutes away.
My kids are about 2 hrs away; one east and one west.
