what? You say your way of lifting is better...so you should be crushing a fundamental move like the squat, right?

Scruffy,
Just realized that I should congratulate you on sticking with a program for 4-5 months. One of the biggest challenges I see from people seeking gains is that they continuously jump programs.
For your average Joe, just sticking with a program, even if it isn't a perfect one, is the best path.

My goals are to be balanced and functionally strong. Not "crush" any one particular move. As if fitness can be distilled down to a squat #. You are a relic.

lolz.
because "functionally" strong people arent a beast on the squat.
let me guess, you dont deadlift either??

How much is he lifting compared to bodyweight...
thats more important.
I've done stronglifts before and I'm looking to start back up (I haven't lifted at all in a while
FWIW, I plan to do stronglifts for a while, I'm just looking for a good indicator for when to switch it up. Because I've been in a situation similar to scruffy when I was last doing stronglifts and I didn't know if I hit a plateau or if I should look into another program all together.

Scruff, try fricking different women twice a day and doing crossfit. That should work.

They may be but they are probably not as much as people who focus on the squat as if it is a measure of function strength as you appear to be doing.
See that the beauty of cross fit, I can be a beast on the squat because I am functionally strong but you can only be a beast on the squat because you train for squat. Thanks for proving my point dipshit.

No they are actually.
functional strength doesnt involve the most basic move in lifting....so basic it's an olympic event?
