Its(the movement) about as made in the US as Toyota trucks are, assembled yes, manufactured, nope.

It's that way on purpose. No ads, no popup shite. Very minimalistic.
big difference between minimalistic and dated. I'll do one Pro bono and you can throw it in the trash if you want, sounds like a fun project.

Thats cool, even the forum itself is pretty modern compared to the logo, I'll try to do something that fits with the forum style and font.

Seiko automatic divers are made "in house", "bulletproof", and ridiculous value for the $. They have earned their nickname "poor man's Rolex" for a reason. I have owned a 007 (SKX007) since my trip to Japan in 2003 and it is just now starting to act up and need a service (13 yrs, no problems). The thing has been to the shooting range, ocean, dropped on concrete, workouts, etc., etc. It cost me $190 in Tokyo and things were more expensive there at the time due to the exchange rate. They can be had for $170ish from online sources. There are better finished, finer, more expensive watches out there, but I put entry level Seiko divers up there with any other automatic watch for durability.
My neighbor has a Laco pilot watch. He hasn't had any trouble with it if that is the look you want.

I'll check your forum out. I'm only 27 and don't have my CPA yet so this is only the first step.

Exactly. The only thing I don't like is the bracelet. It stretches over time.

I bought this oyster bracelet for my 007. And a bunch of NATOs.
Solves the problem.

For the price, it's not a bad watch. He asked for something in a particular price range. I could put a Tag or something much fancier, but that's not what the OP wanted. Personally I wear a Suunto Core, but that's more than $200. Any more brain busters?

Maybe not for you, but I bought this one a few weeks ago for about $180 and it looks great and seems to be pretty decent quality. Goes with pretty much everything. Brand is AVI-8, check em out.

Couldn't agree more. It's my everyday workhorse watch and I absolutely love it.

Funny I also have a Laco automatic. Great watch as well, and more of my casual weekend wear. Mix that in with a Christopher Ward C600 for business casual on up and I'm set.
3 watches, all well reviewed, versatile automatics for about $1300 in total. I've got no need for anything else really at this time.
