which kills fleas that bite him. But I want to kill the fleas on his body.

Just bought this flea shampoo with Permethrin.

Will the combination of those 2 cause a drug interaction worth concern?

Ugh, brought back nightmares to when our dog got a flea infestation when I was little. He was a small dog and we were taking 200-300 fleas off him a day and nothing seemed to work: just ducking horrible

Treat your yard with talstar xl. Haven't had any ant piles or fleas in the last year since I started. I put it down 2x a year

Comfortis is the most effective treatment on the market

Yes, the fleas have to bite your dog. It sounds bad, but fleas also need blood from your dog to reproduce. Now it will be impossible for fleas to reproduce in your house and eventually they will be gone completely.

Nothing else worked for my dog. Comfortis for a month and zero fleas in the house.

People in general practice very bad habits when it comes to pest removal because the actual best solutions are very counterintuitive.
Roaches for instance, people like to spray because they see the roaches dead. Horrible idea. Bait is the way to go as they bring it back to the nest and kill all.

The best methods of pest removal involve using the pests' own biology against them, which comfortis does.

I never use a regular flea regimen. I just do a topical treatment when they appear, which isn't often.

I don't do it monthly because the fleas build up resistance.

so you think fleas evolve based on their cousins you killed?

We've used it for 4 it 5 years and it's been very effective.

There is a pill called "cap star" that you can get from pet stores. Kills all fleas immediately.

I would ask your vet if you can use if with Confortis.

FYI I switched all mine to Bravecto last year. It lasts 3 months.

If you want to be 100% sure...Blue dawn bath and scrub him good and pick them rest off. When we got our pup he was covered.

They have a flea/heart worm prevention now we use. Apparently it kills fleas by producing an oil on the dogs skin so if a flea lands on the dog it can die

So, who in this thread giving advice is an actual veterinarian? Just curious. For the record, I'm not, but I've had good results with Advantage II. It fricks fleas up, but doesn't do a thing for ticks. frick fleas, their larvae, and their eggs.

I've used Comfortis on all of my dogs for the last ten years and they have been flea free since then. I also treated the yard and spray bombed the entire house when I used it for the first time.
