I don't understand how you could do this and just keep on driving.

I need to know if it's ok to keep Curtis sedated and if so what should I use? I have Benadryl.

Why was your dog in the street?

ETA: Still, I'm sorry it happened. Is it dead?

I mowed down a puppy that ran out in the highway once. The pup's entire family watched this unfold from their front yard just feet away. I didn't stop because it wasn't my fault and nothing good was going to come of it. I felt terrible though.

Actually I didn't just "drive off". I went in reverse to finish the job. You're welcome

I hit a chow once. Didn't stop. Play with the bull, you get the horns.

ETA:

And in reality, that is your property. If your dog damaged his car, and he proves it is your dog, you could be paying for his repairs.

Who lets a puppy or any dog near the highway? No good can come out of a dog being loose ANYWHERE. They will either get hurt or hurt someone/something else.
