I'm 6'1 195, my old man is 5'7 160 pounds. I was taller than him by the time I was 14 and outweighed him by the time I was 15. We have a good relationship but one day when i was 16 I was acting as teenage pieces of shite will at times and decided to smart off to my mom. My dad told me I better apologize to my mother, and I ignored him then when he stood up to come towards me I decided to bow up on him. He put me in a chokehold before I knew what was going on and threw me on the couch and told me I better choose my next move very carefully. I cowered down like a little bitch I knew even with 20 pounds on him I couldn't take my old man. We laugh about it now because I know I was in the wrong in the first place but i still wouldnt wanna cross him old man strength is real baw. Anybody got similar stories?

No. We've had words once but it was never close to violence.

I could take my old man a long time ago but I'm just not going to go down that road.

Our chauffeur had to separate father and i after i knicked his Bentley against our gardener’s bronco. I’ll never forget the rage in his eye as he swore at me, took away my allowance and country club privileges and yet, worst of all, threatened to send me to public school. What a harrowing experience.

What a harrowing ordeal, S! I’m still recovering from the fox encounter that I experienced a few months back.

Never once even considered raising a hand to my dad. in fact, i don't personally know anyone who has. this sounds like a scene from some shitty movie.

16 years old running and working out everyday getting ready for 2-a-days. Had a bad morning walked in the house and called my sister a bitch and told my mom to: "leave me the frick alone". I never saw him. Knocked me the hell out! Woke up on the kitchen floor with a ziplock full of frozen purple hulls on my face. Daddy slung around 16"-20" gas valves all day so it felt like I had been hit with a sledgehammer. Never talked about it. I knew why and was never disrespectful to either of those women again.

My dad once told me that it was time for me to be responsible for all the yard work (mowing, mulch, weed-eating, etc.). I told my old man to kick rocks. Told him that the only type of manual labor I'm doing is in an air-conditioned gym with a barbell. He put me in a chokehold before I knew what was going on and threw me on the couch and told me I better choose my next move very carefully. I cowered down like a little bitch. I was only 4 years old at the time but I understood that I couldn't take my old man. So I went out and started with the yard work. We laugh about it now. Old man strength is definitely real.

Me and my dad are best friends but yea we had a couple altercations when I was in HS. Hormones and rebellious attitudes and him wanting me just to do the right thing.

Only bad time was a shouting argument when I was 17 where I lost my temper and broke his nose. I was about 5 inches taller and 60lbs heavier being a college football prospect and working out every day. Oddly I felt terrible afterward because he didn’t even yell at me just sat down holding his nose. I sincerely apologized for 3 days and haven’t raised my voice to him since then. That bad feeling made me learn to control my temper
