My dad just had to look at me a certain way and it was over...I mean completely over. When I was a young dumbass I remember popping off every so often but the thought of ever being dumb enough, or disrespectful enough to think I would want to fight him never crossed my mind once. He is a good man and I always respected him.
I have a 17 year old son that is 6'4" and 200 lbs and I cant imagine he feels any different than I do.
