Ram Cummins is topnotch, they just dont match it with a quality transmission. The GM Duramax has best Allison transmission , but have issues with their engine. The Ford Superduty 6.7 L F250 has had a host of issues.
So buyer beware. All 3 diesel truck makers have issues.

I've always heard that the perfect truck has a Dodge engine, a GM transmission, and a Ford body.

If Ram would pair their Cummins with the Allison transmission, they would corner the market. It would be the top selling diesel truck in North America.

Ford’s 10R140 is actually superior to the Allison in every way. Unfortunately, GM uses an Allison “branded” transmission which is produced in house at GM. GM pays Allison to use their name but had nothing to do with the design.
Here’s a breakdown of the two transmissions:

That's true but GM cant build a poor quality tranny and get away with it. It would harm the Allison brand if they were failing like their cheap gas truck trannys.
Just proves all the 1500 trannys that are shite products by GM could be built much better.

I paid cash for a 24 expedition max and never told them I was. Just told em my price (a fair one), they worked it, gave me a discount to use ford financing and then I wired the sum to them same day.

I’ll never understand the desire of wanting a truck with all of those horses to just drive it to your office job on a highway
Complete waste and the inferiority complex is screaming

I will never understand why someone cares about how another person spends their money.

I spend more time in my vehicle than fricking in a month. So I’d prefer to be in a vehicle I enjoy.??

The whole point of this thread was to brag about offering to buy it in cash.

Always wanted a 3/4 ton diesel.
To each his own. Buy what you want...but this is an odd reason to buy a diesel. The big 3 all have their pros and cons, but in any case modern diesels cost more to maintain and will give you more headaches than gas. Especially nowadays with DEF and all the emissions BS to deal with.
I've only had one 3/4 ton when I was routinely towing 10k pounds because I didn't want to beat myself to death that that much weight on a half ton.
If you're determined to spend $50K, why not get a decked out newer Tundra and not have to worry about getting another truck for 10+ years?
