Why wouldn't anyone take their money back from the government? Because the government is such a good steward of money?
Hell yeah, I'm taking it back and I'll give to charity with some of that money as always. I can do better with my money than the government every will. I wish folks understood that.

I think everyone that payed in deserves to collect. That's the deal you enter with the Government when you let them take from your income.
eta: The question should be "If you'd never paid in would you take money from the "Broken System"".

The only time anyone ever KNOWS they won't need any more money is after they have drawn their last breath.

Yes, I will be taking as much of my money back as possible.

They think that welfare, food stamps, section 8, Obamacare, etc, etc wont be touched as long as SS and Medicare are lumped in together with them. Just saying....

I've been paying in for 33 years, and hopefully will for another 15 or so. Dang straight I'm going to collect the max that I can.

What the hell greedy? These generations paid into this. Why would they leave it? Craziest thing I ever heard. It should be left for you?
Posted on 8/26/15 at 2:30 pm to Dire Wolf
I don't see it as taking money, I see it as getting back some of the money I paid into it.

The last letter I received from them said that right now I would get $2600/ month. I'm 35 so when I'm 65 it may be closer to $4500/ month. I want those chips

Nah - it's going to go the other way (down) and you'll have to be older.
Sorry, but dems the breaks.
