Make up an excuse to ditch the coffee date. But do have a 3-4 minute chat after the funeral before hurrying to the made-up appointment you're late for. Tell spouse you bumped into said flame and drop it.

They quickly decide they 'need something stronger' and go find a dive bar. Tell each other how great they look and how shitty their current relationships are. By 3rd drink they are touching hands and flirting, reminiscing about old times and 'what happened to us' comes up. By 5th drink they're looking for a hotel or park nearby to frick.
