Don't get ropers if they are for a wedding, unless the wedding attire is jeans and a button down.

No different than paying $175 for a rented tux.

Again, couples can have some ridiculous expectations for their bridal parties.

Ariat Roughstock is what you're looking for. Goes with almost anything.

Roper style heel(Low), square toe, Leather brown if wedding allows as it will let you wear them casually multiple times a year.

If you are not going to wear them all the time you can get a good pair for $150-250.

What brand fits you is very personal and the only way to know is go try some on.

Good brands for casual boot wearer: Ariat, Justin, Double H, Twisted X.

I highly recommend going to a boot store and trying some on. The sizes are all different and you'll need to see how the fit.

They will have a full selection of your size all in one place. Just go over to your size and check them out.

Sorry for the quick hijack...

But do you guys actually find these hard bottomed boots to be comfortable?

I've worn boots back in the day, and I seem to remember how uncomfortable they were.

I wouldn't wanna work 8-10 hours in those things.

And is that Johnny Cash in the high cut boots in the earlier post?

Work boots have way different soles and insoles than dress boots. I would definitely err on the side of comfort over looks if these were my everyday boots.

Most real “country weddings” are handled at the JP with a few witnesses. FYI.

King Ranch boots. Well made and comfortable. I have a pair and love them (I'm not a "boot" guy either).

Not anymore. They wreck my back, I guess because of the higher heel effecting my posture or something. I gave my Luchesse ropers to a friend several years ago.
