Prayers for them.

Not sure of their religious beliefs but they have their own little saint now to ask for intercession from. We named our little one and invoke our little Saint often during times of family issues and stresses.

It was Potter Syndrome. It’s almost always fatal to the baby.

Also, let your brother know that he’s entitled to grieve. Thank God you’re there for him. Brothers are friggen awesome shoulders to cry on. If he’s like me he’ll want to be strong for his wife but he needs to deal with it as well.

This happened to my wife and I on our first pregnancy. Had 3 beautiful and healthy children after that. But I remember how hard it was

Sorry about the baby, Baw. In the meantime, you can just stand there feeling dumb, offering love to your family, and being there for them. My wife had a tubal pregnancy and it was tough going through.

Thoughts, prayers, and good wishes, for you, and yours.

Prayers up man.. while we didnt make it that far. Me and my wife had 2 misscarriages before we had our first child. Its very tough, some dark days ahead. They need to stay busy with everyday life, and dont give up on having a kid. Once this happens you are afraid it will happen every time. Its scary, and sad...but dont let them give up. Once they get that little rainbow baby, there is no feeling like it. Prayers, and stay strong

Mostly the same as what he said, but we had one before each of our babies. It’s all part of the plan is the way I looked at it

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear this. There’s no real consolation I can offer other than humble prayers of acceptance to your brother and his wife and that they know that others are thinking about them at this indescribably difficult time.

Praying for them and the family. Ours didn’t make it to 20 weeks but it happened at Christmas several years ago. We already had two at the time and hadn’t told any family yet since it was early on. We were actually planning on telling most of the family at Christmas. I think that would have put us around 10 weeks and already having two with no complications we figured it would be a nice surprise to tell everyone then. Went to the OB and saw a heartbeat around 6-7 weeks. Went back a month later and they couldn’t hear it but could faintly see it on the screen. My wife wasn’t feeling good and we went back a few days before Christmas. No heartbeat and no visible heartbeat either. We broke down and told my parents about it before we went over for the family Christmas. One of the worst holiday seasons we’ve ever been through. Everyone is all happy and celebrating and we’re trying not to be a downer. My sister had been through one prior and had been battling cancer most of the year. We were celebrating her remission as well. But it is so draining. I remember sitting up crying while my family slept most nights. We hadn’t really planned on anymore children but in those weeks the loss really set in. A good support group and family to lean on is all that helped get us through it emotionally.
