Option A. If that doesn’t work then I let my dog shite in their driveway and not pick it up.

sorry bro, you don’t get to act like a tough guy when writing some gay little note to your neighbor i/o knocking on his door and talking to him like a man. if you’re dead set on handling this like a punk, I’d suggest calling your landlord or apartment management and asking them to talk with your neighbor about the noise. yes, it’s a pathetic way to go about the situation, but it seems like it would be less embarrassing than leaving a note and running away jmo
What an alpha! We found our baw!!!

Honestly have never met them so can’t really speak to their character. A previous neighbor of mine in a different apartment I used to live at, guilty of the same obnoxious behavior, was the latter. One day I got so fed up with their ruckus after having knocked on their door and asked them to keep it down, I just snapped and took a basketball and bounced it off the ceiling repeatedly. Bitch came down immediately and started pounding on my door cursing me out. So, that’s why this go round I figured a note might be a better option before I proceed with a physical confrontation.

Go talk to them. They may have no idea how loud their footsteps sound in the apartment below.
Do you live in the Projects? If so, better just live with the noise.

Are they actually being loud and noisy or are they just walking around their apartment? We had an annoying arse neighbor who would always complain that we were being loud and all we were doing was walking around our apartment, it was just that our apartment was a 4-plex in a 100+ year old house, so the wood floors weren’t very quiet.

I’ve shared at least one wall with someone else for about ten years and never had a loud neighbor, so it must be me

can you not afford your own house

Yeah that’s probably the best advice. I’ve had other neighbors mention about hearing their neighbors so it’s probably the building’s walls, flooring and such. My issue is really the timing of the occurrences. Like who the frick moves around so much late at night on weekdays? Weekends don’t bother me so much. Just when I’m trying to sleep because I have work in the morning. And it ain’t fricking noises either. I know the difference. It’s running across the room after 11:00pm when most normal people should be settling in for the night and not bumbling around so much. Nah I live in a nice area but it’s Atlanta so there’s a lot of culture.

Yo, real loud from down here. Be cool my neighbor.
Peace. Out.

Start shitting in their yard close to their front door
If the problem doesn't improve increase the shitting frequency
If it still doesn't improve start shitting on their porch

If you're gonna leave a note it should only say "hey this is NotoriousFSU downstairs I need to talk with you about an issue, here's my number" or "come see me at 6 pm so we can talk".

currently dealing with an old woman who is selling her house. My lawn man asked me if I could hold off for an extra week because his wife had a miscarriage and she was taking losing the baby pretty hard. I told him to take all of the time he needed. Two days later I had a note taped to my door telling me that I disrespect my neighbors by not having my lawn cut. I found out today that she went to every house on my street to ask what kind of person I am. She did a background check on me and she was mad that she couldn't find anything on me. She told people that her house is on the market and my long grass is keeping potential buyers away. She moved here ten years ago to be close to her daughter. She is from Nevada. She plans to live with her ugly daughter. I never saw or met this old woman and if I ever see her outside I plan to have a conversation with her. She also said that I need to keep my garage door down. My garage has nothing in it until I park my car in it every night. I think that old dog is taking extreme measures against.me. She also reported me to the city telling them that I won't cut my grass. I'm glad that she is moving but I never saw or met her.
Obviously you want her to sell and gtfo, but it sure sounds like a good time to pull some shenanigans like the movie step brothers, every time her house has a showing.

Option C: Quit being poor and move out of your bottom floor apartment OR quit being too lazy to walk up stairs and quit living in a bottom floor apartment.

Here's your problem, stop living in apartments, apparently sort of trashy apartments at that.

That other place was actually a nice apartment complex in Buckhead. But Buckhead has since gone to shite and I moved my arse a bit further north. Think part of my problem is living alone. What I can afford to live by myself doesn’t necessarily prevent living amongst 2 or 3 hooligans who band together to split costs in a nicer complex. Maybe if the entire complex was fixed to single bedroom unit dwellings only, then I think it would help weed out the riff raff since multi bedroom unit dwellings offer more affordability. Idk you’re probably right in the end but I like my location and the property managers are pretty responsive and maintain order when called upon.

I live on the 4th floor of 7 and there were no single bedroom units available on the top floor. It’s also the largest single bedroom floor plan in the entire complex. Literally take the stairs on a daily basis whenever I walk to my gym that’s 3 miles away which is about 3-5 times a week on average. So, I’m not poor, fat, nor lazy. Just have thin floors and a noisy neighbor who’s probably just unaware of their disturbance, which I could handle more accordingly by meeting them and letting them know of my concerns.

Option C quit being a pussy, go talk to him, and try and come to a solution. If that don't work take a shite on his door step and piihwb to establish dominance.
