Surprised choupiquesushi hasn't popped up yet, him thinking holdbacks are the biggest issue in the LHSAA today, despite them being available to all schools

I graduated at 17, was in college that summer at 17. Physically, regarding sports, I could have used the muscular maturity of being held back a year. Mentally, I was a good student, majored in Phsyics, and graduated at 20.
My 4th son was held back a year by repeating K5 because he had a late August birthday and it worked out fine for him.

Honestly, that's one reason we're considering it. My son would turn 18 after graduation, so at least he would be 18 entering college. But my older sister has a late August birthday and was in classes for a couple of weeks in college at 17, almost 18. It also stunk for her driving. Everyone else had their cars early or middle of 10th grade. She had to find a ride to school for the first month of her junior year, which meant I had to as well as her freshman brother.
