Are you a grown man who gets excited about attending a live music event? Why?

Shite is expensive. Seems like a waste of money.

Strait sounded better live than he did on his studio cuts.

Was well worth the money considering the rarity of his events these days. Stapleton also was phenomenal.

Me and the wife saw Cody Jinks at the Varsity last year. Uber'd there and back, got a little tipsy, 2 middle aged women got into a fight. Worth the price of admission

Not really. Can see music every night in New Orleans for pretty cheap. Way cheaper than Saints and LSU tickets which I think is a waste.

Different strokes, different folks

Depends on the concert and the crowd these days

I used to live at concerts/festivals when I was younger, but doing that in my 30s seems like it'd be annoying and tiresome.

But going to smaller shows is still appealing. Occasionally a bigger arena-type concert if the act is good enough (Elton, McCartney, etc.)

Live music is amazing.

I've seen over 500 bands in concert in my life.

Yes, but I rarely go to big arena shows. Bands I see play in bars or under 500 person venues for about $15-20.

This is the key, can I get another drink, be close to the band and piss without great difficulty. My stadium/big venue days are over.

I love it, but I'm also a musician. I can admit that a lot of big name acts are extremely expensive to see, but I can catch pretty great local shows any day of the week for under $15. It's like choosing between going to see a movie and drinking at the bar with your friends. I enjoy going to see live music.

I don't mind a huge venue for a huge performer I want to see. Albeit that list for me is pretty small and is most commonly some artist whose touring days are drawing to a close.

The worst is when smallish acts I like are constantly on the festival circuit or touring with much bigger acts. It's just not worth it.

Live music events are fun, that’s why. Why don’t you like attending them is a better question?

Because it’s “expensive”? You poor?

I thought so, too.

Chris Stapleton did a pretty killer set, too. Seeing the two together was a real treat.
