No. I've done my time. Plenty of others who can step up. If not, I welcome our foreign overlords.

This generation is a substantial lot of pussies (not all). Do you really want them protecting us?

I have a very cynical view. But, if they can't protect us, then it's not worth saving anyway.

My old linguist buddy would have to start teaching me Russian, though.

Would you re-enlist if America is attacked by a foreign government? We all probably know plenty who enlisted after 9/11 and most of those I know wouldn't go back in unless we were attacked.

So what would you do?

I would if they would take me, but at my age they won't.

Been in 15 years. Laugh at everyone that got out thinking the outside would solve all their problems and then spend all their time talking about how much they miss the military.

Funny given the 14 years of war but today's kids are still joining up and doing their time honorably. Let me guess, you went to the last hard basic training?

I miss the camaraderie, not the bullshite. Obama's Navy is not the Navy I served in. Still have friends in that hate it but are just hanging in there for the retirement.

I just ended active service recently... not to get political, but if Clinton declared war on most anyone on foreign soil and I was recalled, I wouldn't show up. We've trended toward an America I didn't sign up to defend when I did it the first time.

Well if it were actually a real threat on our soil probably. However, I may just pull a Red Dawn.

I'm over the hill, so no. They wouldn't touch me. But if it came to home land fighting, I'm in.
